Lol!! When I was going through your list of WIP, I had to lol because my mom an avid knitter and crocheter left behind 20 WIP`s, with no instructions, but every project had the crochet hook or knitting needles with it! Oh yes, and the labels were all carefully removed!!! No notes, no patterns just figure it out yourself!! She also left 25 big (5 gallon) bins filled with various yarns, most were bought when a major store was going out of business! Some of the prices were $.50 to $10(on sale) a ball. This was back in the 70`s and 80`s. Sixteen years later, I can proudly say that I went back to crocheting and knitting and have numerous amount of mittens, hats, cowls and scarves - I have lost count on how many baby blankets and blankets for the grands I have made. I am now on my (I hope) last (very scrappy) blanket which consists of every little end of ball of yarn that was left in the stash. I am now down to my last 2 tubs of yarn. So yes it is important to leave instructions so you don`t leave some 20 same size crochet hooks and needles!! Properly stored, yarn keeps for a long time! I am presently working on my scrappy blanket and only one last bunny for Easter! The yarn left was a coat my mom made for me and now wondering how to use it up!! It is very thick and there are a few others that I had bought but not enough to make anything big
