I even tired it twice using chunky yarn.

I’m not sure how to do decreases with the knitting loom, I’m sure there’s some way to do it, but I haven’t figured that out yet. I do have a loom knitting beanie pattern that’s ribbed and more like a regular hat right here: https://www.marchingnorth.com/easy-ribbed-loom-knit-beanie-pattern/
