Q. - How big is this plant hanger? What size pot does it hold?

A. - Here are the finished dimensions:

  • Length from hanging loop or ring to bottom crown knot: approx. 26" long
  • Length from hanging loop or ring to bottom of fringe: approx. 43" long
  • Plant pot size 7" - 9", could possibly go up to 10". The pot I'm using in the photo is 8" across and 6" tall.

Q. - I'm a beginner. Is this pattern OK for me?

A. - The skill level for this pattern is intermediate. By that, I mean you should have a grasp of the basic knots (the square knot and the double half hitch knot for sure).

Once you have those two knots down, you're ready to make this pattern! I'll show you all the other knots in the tutorial, so it's OK if you haven't master the crown knot or the woven square knot yet.

If you want to get a head start on those basic knots, this helpful beginner macrame knot tutorial will show you how they're done.
